Maths Sample


WALT: Continue a number pattern and find the rule for finding the next number. 
Description: For maths this term we have been learning a range of strategies to help us solve algebra problems.
Task:  Make a short movie to prove that you have achieved your maths goal.
Criteria:
  • Show, explain, prove your goal and how you did it
  • Clear message
  • Two questions to show your learning
  • Correct answer
Evaluation:
  1. What are you most proud of and why? I am most proud of that I showed in my movie how I knew and the things that were required. 
  1. What challenged you the most and why? The thing that challenged me most was that explaining the goal.
  1. Next time, what is a goal you can work towards? Don't rub the speaker while talking so it does not make background sounds that cover my voice.

The Learning Pit


WALT: The Learning Pit

Description: We have been learning about when good learning happens. The good learning happens in the PIT!

Evaluation:
Reflect on a time when you have been in the pit.
How did you feel when you were in the pit? I feel annoyed but know I'm going to get out.

What did you do to work out of the pit? You can do it never give up. Hold the grip and keep on trying.

I think you have done a great layout on your post. I like your learning pit thoughts and ideas. It shows what you know and understand. I think you could make it a little bit easier to read because the colours are really light. When you see it on the post. Rosalind:)

Te Reo Sample

WALT: Communicate a message
Description: We have been participating in 3 different workshops around colour, compositions and fonts. We put these skills to use in a poster sharing our knowledge about Te Reo Maori.

Evaluation:
What are you most proud of and why? I am most proud of the visual and things we put to our message into.

What challenged you the most and why? The most thing that challenged me was when I showed a teacher and she liked a colour as a background to be the same on an object.

Next time, what is a goal you can work towards? To do something different like a long thing you could say Example: Hello how are you.
Feedback/Feedforward:
 This is my Feedforward. I like the way you told us Māori like it is a fact. You used photos to represent the word in a really cool way.

Hangi

W.A.L.T: To explain how a hangi works.

How does a Hangi cook our food?

What I thought when I had not heard of it: I thought that you dig a hole put sticks on the bottom and then light it then you put the food on to cook. But did you know that this is not how you cook a hangi so I will you show you the process.

Process of how to cook a Hangi.

1. First Dig a hole.

2. Then chuck news paper and wood in the hole.

3. When you think it is hot enough then throw some big stones in.

4. When the stones start to get kinda red.

5. Put the food in and wait for it to cook.

My writing goal is to: Write a variety of simple, compound and complex sentences.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because: because it was in my report.
I will accomplish my goal by: trying to use it every day.

My reading goal is to: to use discussion to consider alternative viewpoints.
