Statistics

W.A.L.T: calculate the mean, median, mode and range of a set of data
Today we did statistics it was really fun but hard at the same time here is a picture of my working out.

Mean: 65+69+70+65+44+72 divided by 6=325.   Wrong x
Median: What is the most popular number. The number between 70 and 65=67     Right (:
Mode: 65 is the most popular because the score is written down 2 times.         Right (:
Range:?

  1. You had the right idea with your working on the mean. It is always a good idea if you are adding lots of large numbers to check your answer. Would your next step include how to work out the range? I always think about distance to help me remember that range is the distance (difference) between the smallest and the largest number.

    1. At home I have been working on the range it took me a short time to really understand what range means. Thanks for commenting on my blog and helping me out with my learning.
