Solving Problems with our 5 and 10s

W.A.L.T: To solve our multiplication problems with our 5s and 10s.
We had a task to use anything to show a math sample here it is.
We were learning to do the double and half strategy. Sophie and I have done 16x5=80 because half of 16 is 8 then double 5 which is 10. So then 10x8=80. That means 16x5=80

                                                     Feed Back:
Great job Grace I can really see what you are trying to teach other people,
I think lots of people will now know that great work keep it up.

Great job Grace I can really tell what you are trying to teach other kids this strategy.
I think lots of people will know that you have explained. Well done.

Statistics

W.A.L.T: calculate the mean, median, mode and range of a set of data
Today we did statistics it was really fun but hard at the same time here is a picture of my working out.

Mean: 65+69+70+65+44+72 divided by 6=325.   Wrong x
Median: What is the most popular number. The number between 70 and 65=67     Right (:
Mode: 65 is the most popular because the score is written down 2 times.         Right (:
Range:?

Weet bix Triatlon

W.A.L.T: Strive for excellents!
Yesterday we did the Weetbix Triathlon at  ongley park me and Amy came tie in our year group. I think that it was an aboulustly awesome day and then at prize giving I was so close getting the tablet I-Pad but then at the end it changed the last number which was really unfortunate. It was really challenging because I did not have a colorful thing that showed where my bike was so it was really hard to find I had to get an helper of TWBT to show me where it was so. Then I found my bike and I was off and away. At the end when we were coming through the finish line I got I a gold medal.

Published Writing

W.A.L.T: Entertain

                                      Caving
As we drove through the waving bushes I had bugs crawling all over
me just thinking about it. Once we got the instructions I was
imagining the 2 trunked tree. Finally we found the cave. It was a
very big hole. I suddenly saw darkness as I took a few more steps closer
and slowly pushed down the button on my torch.
There were cave wetas everywhere. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I sank to the
ground, I  felt myself feel like a worm on I'ts tummy getting soaked from top to
bottom. In front of me there was a blanket of rocks and dirt. My hands were crying because they were so sweaty. This was a very deep dipping cave. We finally got out and I was a jack in the box. There smack! in the middle of my pupil
I saw a stream of light as if it was a streak of lightning.
